Some people, however, take a different view. They regard the policy as being unnecessary. In reality, they argue, family planning does not effectively control the population growth; in some regions, violation of the family planning policy is to some extent out of control. Furthermore, according to Chinese tradition, it is a happy thing to have a large family anyway.
As far as I am concerned, I am completely in favor of the policy because it enables our country's population to increase at a low rate, which benefits both the nation and individuals. So I support family planning, and certainly it will do me a lot of good.

听力原文: I am writing to thank you for the interesting reports which appeared in the July '94 edition of Saturday Evening Post. I am interested in your reports since B12 deficiency is an inherited disorder in my family. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, a research project was carried out on it by London medical school.
My grandmother was 49 when she started vitamin t312 injections in 1949, She was admitted to the hospital with a blood disease. My mother was 63 when she began vitamin B12 injections. After reading your article, I believe her treatment was started too late. At the time, she almost lost her eyesight and was told that she had another diseases.
Earlier this year, I visited my doctor and explained that 1 felt very tired and asked for a blood test to establish whether I was suffering from B12 deficiency. I was told I was much too young and that only people in their 80s suffered B12 deficiency. I told him he was wrong and that research was carried out on my family 30 years ago.
I have always believed that prevention is better than cure. I now know why I love Kellogg's Honey Nut Cornflakes. They contain vitamins, including B12! If foods contain added vitamins, as
you suggest in your article, then B12 deficiency and diseases associated with it should be left to the past.
(33)
A.It is a thank-you letter to a medical doctor.
B.It is an advertisement for vitamin B12.
C.It is a letter to the editor of a magazine.
D.It is a preface to a book on vitamins.

M: It's coming along. But I've been staring at the computer screen for hours and my eyes hurt.
W: Yeah Typing the words on the screen really make your eyes dry and tired. You should take a break.
M: I can't. The deadline is approaching.
W: You know, I read about computers and eye problems recently. The article says that they are usually caused by not blinking your eyes enough.
M: Blinking? I thought I just needed new glasses.
W: when you blink, the movement of closing and opening your eyes, even though it happens really fast relaxes your eyes.
M: That makes sense.
W: People using computer tends to stare at the screen and blink less often than they normally would.
M: That is what I am doing. And I am suffering from the dry eyes.
W: That is one of the typical symptoms. M: But what does it have to do with the computer?
W: The article I read about the office workers found that the workers averagely blink 22 times a minute when relaxed But just 7 times a minute while looking at the text on a computer screen.
M: Wow That's quite a difference.
W: Yeah. So you need to blink your eyes and take a break from the computer
M: I wonder if using some kind of eye-drops will make me feel better.
W: That might help. But the best prescription is to take a break and rest your eyes
M: Ok. Let's go get some coffee. I can finish this later tonight.

A.Something goes wrong with his computer.
B.He can not finish the documents in time.

"I cannot explain it in scientific terms but, without any doubt, everyone who sees them in the wild is lifted by them," Jonathan Gordon, of Oxford University zoology department, said.
"You only ever see them in the wild if they want you to see them. They are the only wild animal that comes to man of their own free will and that makes you feel privileged. You get a buzz because they are joyful, and you can prove scientifically that they spend a lot of their life playing. '
Professor Gordon works for the International Fund for Animal Welfare and spends months on, the organization's research boat. "If things aren't going well on the boat and you are depressed, the sight of dolphins lifts you and makes you feel better at once. They cannot be doing this on purpose, but I can believe that people who are intensely depressed or suffering from some kind of mental blockage could be eased by swimming among them. "
"I cannot go along with those who claim they have magical powers but even though I am scientifically hardheaded I have to admit they somehow make you feel good."
That view is shared by the authors of Beyond the Blue, a book on the healing power of dolphins. The authors say that when the mind is calm it triggers the release of a chemical also found in the anti-depressant drug Valium.
Jenny Sheridan, of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, said: "Swimming with dolphins will not repair any brain damage. But if the child is suffering from lack of confidence it might help."
Mark Simmonds of the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, said: "The interaction of dolphin with sick children can be instrumental in recovery. No one can explain why. But the behavior. of these beautiful animals induces awe and pleasure in children."
This passage is mainly about ______.
A.the relationship between dolphins and people
B.the healing power of dolphins
C.dolphins and people's depression
D.animals and treatment of diseases
